The purchase of partnership shares increases our working capital and boosts our ability to issue guarantees. The negligible rate of historic loss and the protection of the share capital by a risk fund ensure that your investment will effectively contribute to the eradication of poverty with a very low risk. Since its foundation in 1996, the FIG’s members have never suffered a loss. The purchase of partnership shares gives you also a right to vote at the FIG’s General Assembly, which means that you will have a chance to participate in the FIG’s strategic decisions.
Partnership shares cost CHF 1’200 each and can be refunded upon request after 3 years. They do not pay dividends, but do provide a high social and economic return to poor micro-entrepreneurs in Africa and Latin America.
