Mr. Kalyanasundaram, chief executive of INAFI-India visited FIG's headquarters in Geneva earlier this month, to discuss potential collaboration between the two organizations. INAFI is the largest microfinance business network in the world. Mrs Susana Pinilla, a FIG associate and now Labour Minister in Peru, was president of INAFI World in 1995-1998. Given that FIG and INAFI-India both share the same values in striving for access to alternative financing by the world's poor, this visit is seen as a support to FIG's prospection of the Asian market.
